Purpose
Establish geologic underpinnings and biological architecture of Pulley
Ridge coral reef.
Information to be Derived
Video recording and still photos of benthic community, especially
corals. Thickness of coral cover and type of sub- Surface rock types.
Bathymetry map of the entire drowned feature. Genetic characterization of coral
community.
Summary
14 video transects across ridge feature with 18 hrs of tape recorded
for both the forward and downward looking camera, 1,161 still photos taken, 3
new regions mapped by multibeam, 9 seismic profile lines in site C on the SW
Florida shelf edge, 18 individual coral, Leptoceris cuculata, samples from 9
SeaBoss bottom grabs, one dredge sample of rubble.
