NEW BRITAIN COCAINE DEALER SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON According to documents filed with the Court and statements made in court, in 2005 and 2006, ACEVEDO conspired with others to distribute in excess of five kilograms of powder cocaine to various customers in New Britain. ACEVEDO distributed as much as 500 grams of powder cocaine at a time to various customers, who then resold the cocaine to other customers or, at times, converted the cocaine into crack for redistribution to others. “I commend the local and federal authorities for working together to investigate and arrest individuals responsible for distributing large quantities of crack and powder cocaine in New Britain,” U.S. Attorney O’Connor stated. This case was investigated by the New Britain Police Department and the Hartford Resident Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert M. Spector. | |
