Conserving America's FisheriesFisheries Program Funding Opportunities

Each year the Southeast Region’s Fisheries Program has two major opportunities to provide funding for on-the-ground enhancement and restoration of aquatic habitats. Funding is available through the National Fish Passage Program and the National Fish Habitat Action Plan to any Service Division, agency, or non-governmental organization that has the capability to perform this type of work. Individual project funding has ranged from $5K to $200K and generally averages around $40k.

Funding requests are accepted throughout the year. Requests are usually prioritized during October and high priority projects generally receive funding by March of the following year. The process to request funding has been streamlined into a one-page project description that highlights only the most important pieces of information and a pre-project photo. If you have an interest in learning more about these funding opportunities, please follow the links below and to the left.
