Thuraya D3 / Zenit 3SL
The Thuraya D3 is part of the Thuraya mobile communications system, built by Boeing Satellite Systems and owned and operated by Thuraya Satellite Telecommunications Company, Ltd., Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Thuraya system covers the Middle East, North and Central Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Indian Subcontinent, providing cellular-like voice and data services. Thuraya D2 was launched by Sea Launch LP on June 7, 2003.
