LOCATION:

The Eloy Detention Center is located six (6) miles north of Interstate 10 on Highway 87. It is Exit #211 off Interstate 10. For Directions to the Detention Center, please click here.


VISITING HOURS:

Saturday, Sunday and Federal Holidays: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


VISITING DRESS CODE:

All visitors will be dressed appropriately for a business setting.

The following are NOT authorized at this facility:


 

IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Every visitor, 16 years of age, or older, must have a legal picture ID to enter. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult with proper ID. Proper ID consists of one of the following:



AUTHORIZED VISITORS:

Visitation at this facility is limited to authorized visitors. DHS detainees must be approved prior to the day of the visit. No more than four (4) visitors per inmate/detainee will be allowed at a time in the visiting room.


IMMEDIATE FAMILY:

These persons include, grandparents, mother, father, step-parents, foster-parents, brothers, sisters, spouse, and children. These individuals will be placed on the visiting list unless strong circumstances exist that would preclude their visit. The term 'spouse' includes a common-law relationship which has previously been establish in a state which recognizes common-law relationships.


AUTHORIZED VISITING ROOM ITEMS:

CURRENCY: Visitors may take a small coin purse and coins into the visiting room. Inmate/detainees are not allowed to handle money at any time.

Only those items needed for an infants stay will be authorized in the visiting room. This includes the following items: 1 diaper bag, 6 disposable diapers, 1 container of baby wipes, 1-24 oz of formula mix (pre-mixed in bottles), 3 jars of baby food (unopened), 1 plastic serving spoon, 1 change of clothing, 1 blanket, 1 pacifier.

ALL ITEMS ENTERING THE VISITING ROOM WILL BE THOROUGHLY SEARCHED AND VISUALLY INSPECTED BY THE FRONT ENTRANCE OFFICER PRIOR TO ADMISSION. LOCKERS ARE PROVIDED FOR STORAGE OF VISITOR'S PERSONAL ITEMS, ETC.


WALK THROUGH METAL DETECTORS:

All visitors must pass clearance through a walk-through metal detector or a hand held metal detector when necessary or appropriate.


CONDUCT IN VISITING ROOM:


SUSPENSION OF VISITING PRIVILEGES:

Any inmate/detainee or visitor who introduces drugs, or any other prohibited item into the facility, is subject to removal or suspension of visitation privileges and prosecution at the discretion of the Warden.
