Climate
Climate can vary from mild and warm to windy and chilly at any time of the year. Visitors should wear layers since the climate can change very quickly. The Bay Area is known for its microclimates which can change dramatically. The warmest months tend to be September and October. November to April or May is considered the rainy season. The average annual temperature is 62.5F (16.9C).
Did You Know?
Prior to 1940, Henry J. Kaiser's company had never built ships. During World War II, Mr. Kaiser partnered with Todd Shipyards and by 1945, they had built seven shipyards which produced 1490 ships.
