FFMP News

FFMP Advanced
FFMP Advanced has been operational now for a number of months, but we are coming up on our Spring severe weather season.  Please remember to provide feedback on your FFMPA user experiences, either via MDL's annual user survey, the FFMP email list server, or direct email to the Task Lead (Tom Filiaggi).

FFMPA: Up To AWIPS2
Before AWIPS2 becomes operational, you will receive a number of small AWIPS1 Maintenance Builds.  In these builds, you will not see many changes in FFMP, if any at all.  FFMPA will have a noticeable update in OB9.2, regarding Forced FFG.  Check out the FFMP OB9.2 users Guide, when it becomes available.

FFMPA: In AWIPS2
The transition from AWIPS1 to AWIPS2 is well underway.  Raytheon will be delivering FFMP in Task Order 11, which is due the Summer of 2009.  FFMPA should retain its look and feel and functionality through this transition, so the FFMPA you get in AWIPS2 should not provide any surprises, when compared to the FFMPA you have been using in AWIPS1.
