Your Safety

We have provided for your safety as much as possible, but there may still be hazards that require your attention. Please be careful and do not allow your visit to be spoiled by an accident.

Slippery boardwalks

The wooden boardwalks may be slippery during and after rain. Please be careful.

Ticks

Ticks are very common, especially in the tallgrass prairie. To avoid tick bites, stay on the trails. Wearing long sleeves and pants will also reduce exposure, but be sure to check your clothes when you are done walking.
