AFC Fallen Firefighters Memorial
Arkansas Forestry Commission board members, staff and relatives of AFC fallen firefighters gathered at AFC Headquarters in Little Rock March 27, 2009 for the unveiling of the AFC Fallen Firefighter Memorial. The memorial honors AFC employees who have died while fighting wildland fires. Firefighters included on the memorial are W. Virgil Ticer (died
April 11, 1970), David D. Thomas (died Feb. 19, 1980), and E. Alan McElroy (died Oct. 28, 1998).
