Elizabeth A. M. McFadden
Assistant General Counsel

Elizabeth A. M. McFadden has served as the Assistant General Counsel for the Regulatory Services Division since June 2003. This division is responsible for managing the development of the Department's regulations and providing guidance and advice on regulatory matters.

Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Ms. McFadden practiced administrative and communications law at the law firm of Dow, Lohnes & Albertson, PLLC, where she had been a member since 2000 and an associate from 1991 to 1999.

Ms. McFadden was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science in 1986 from Trinity College in Washington, D.C. Ms. McFadden received her J.D. in 1991 from the University of Virginia School of Law where she was Special Projects Editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law and authored a published article on immigration law issues.
