Dear Transportation Curriculum Coordination Council Participant:

We would like to invite each of you to another meeting of the Transportation Curriculum Coordination Council to be held June 11-12, 2002 in Santa Fe, N.M. We will follow a similar format to our last meeting, including updates from the Regional groups, work plan updates and status, new priorities and future direction, in addition to some interesting new topics.

Our meetings will run from 8:00 AM until approximately 4:30 PM each day. Coffee and juice will be served each morning. The meeting site is the Hotel St. Francis located at 210 Don Gasper Avenue. A block of rooms is available under the name of the Federal Highway Administration (contract # 38783) until May 9. Please call (800) 529-5700 and ask for Dave Stone or Patricia to make your own reservations prior to the May 9 release date. The meeting rate is $99, plus applicable taxes, for a single occupancy room and will be honored two days prior to and after the meeting dates. Please make your reservations early to assure a room, and verify cancellation policies when making reservations.

The FHWA will pay allowable travel expenses, up to three nights stay, beginning June 10, for those approved DOT and FHWA representatives. Airline travel will be into Albuquerque and shuttle service is available to Santa Fe. Remember that airline travel arrangements must be made through Western Federal Lands Highway Division, but you should arrange your own hotel room and shuttle service. Please contact Ms. Sharon Craven at (360) 696-7579 to initiate your travel. Additional guidance for invitational travelers is contained in the attachment to this letter.
