Camping

Camping is an extraordinarily popular way of spending the night in Yosemite National Park. For those campgrounds that do accept reservations, don't expect to find a site without a reservation from April through September. The camping section contains information, prices, and online reservations. (Note: The High Sierra Camps are considered lodging units and are managed by DNC.)

Please note that sleeping in your car or RV is not permitted within Yosemite except in individual campsites.

The Bachelor and Three Graces

Did You Know?
Giant sequoias are a fire adapted species. Their bark is fire resistant and fire helps open the sequoia cone and scatter the tiny seeds. Fire also clears forest debris from the mineral soil and provides a nutrient rich seed bed as well as clearing competing species.
