Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) Water Efficiency

FEMP considers water efficiency to be an integral part of every federal energy management program. This site includes information on how effective water efficiency strategies can: save money through cost-effective water efficiency; save resources, including water, energy, and labor; and protect the environment through reduced chemical and sewer usage, as well as improved stormwater management.

WaterSense®

WaterSense is a public-private partnership program sponsored by EPA. Its mission is to protect the future of our nation's water supply by promoting and enhancing the market for water-efficient products and services. Laboratories for the 21st Century (Labs21) Best Practice Guides

Labs21 is a voluntary partnership program sponsored by EPA and the U.S. Department of Energy that is dedicated to improving the environmental performance of U.S. laboratories. It offers Best Practice Guides and Technical Bulletins as part of the Labs21 toolkit that provide information on design, construction, and operation of specific technologies that contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability in laboratories. The guides include information from actual implementation of these technologies in various laboratory facilities by highlighting quantifiable performance goals and possible methods to achieve them. Technical Bulletins are similar to the guides, but are more narrowly focused on specific implementations.
