NCUA Posts 2009 Board Meeting Schedule

Alexandria, Va., September 18, 2008 -- The National Credit Union Administration today announces its 2009 Board meeting schedule. The Board plans to convene each month on a Thursday at 10 a.m. (except August when the Board historically does not meet) on the following dates:

• January 15
• February 19
• March 19
• April 16
• May 21
• June 18
• July 16
• September 24
• October 15
• November 19
• December 17

The Board meeting schedule is subject to change.

Credit union officials, trade groups, media and the general public are invited to attend open meetings of the NCUA Board to witness the discussion and decision-making process that affects the vast majority of the nation’s credit unions and NCUA operations.

The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, with the backing of the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, insuring the savings of over 88 million account holders in all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions.
