Did You Know?
Christoph Jacob Munk and his family emigrated from Germany to Ohio in 1832. They traveled along the National Road. He wrote about rainstorms, a 4 foot rattlesnake, the mountains and sleeping at isolated inns. He also mentions that “it is very troublesome to travel with [a] wife and children.”
