CWA Storm Water ProgramThis brochure* is intended to provide a basic understanding of the Clean Water Act’s Storm Water Program for oil and gas construction activities and provides recommended best management practices when designing the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.
The requirement to obtain permit coverage for oil and gas construction sites disturbing between one and five acres is postponed until March 10, 2005. June 12, 2006. The postponement allowed additional time for EPA to complete its analysis of issues raised by stakeholders about stormwater discharges from oil and gas sites and the practices of controlling these stormwater discharges to mitigate impacts on water quality.
