American Legion Legacy Scholarship

Provides educational scholarships for children of active duty United States military, Guard and Reserve personnel who died on active duty on or after September 11, 2001.

Armed Forces Children's Education Fund

Provides financial assistance to the surviving children of service members killed on or after October 7, 2001, the commencement of Afghanistan operations, as part of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Includes information related to qualifications and an application for the scholarship.

Army Emergency Relief Scholarship Program

Provides scholarships to children and spouses of active duty, retired or deceased soldiers.

Career Exploration Program

Provides the DoD virtual, career exploration program that uses tools, tests and resources to assist highschool and college students with exploring military and civilian occupations.

Chief Warrant & Warrant Officers Association

Represents active, reserve and retired Coast Guard warrant and chief warrant officers to the federal government, and advocates for the interests and professional development to the Coast Guard. Offers various Benefits, including health and life insurance, a scholarship for members' children and recreation and travel benefits.

Provides college grants and other financial assistance to children and spouses of service members killed in Iraq or Afghanistan, as well as to the families of service members disabled in these wars.

Dolphin Scholarship Foundation

Scholarship fund to assist children of the Submarine Force in attending colleges and universities.

Flaum Souksamlane In Loving Memory Foundation

Produces and distributes literature and other materials (videos, games, etc.) for use by children, adults and organizations to provide an understanding of, and assist children with, the grieving process. Also offers college scholarships to children who have had one or both parents die and grants to organizations helping children through the grieving process.

Educational scholarships to children of an active duty service member who was killed, permanently disabled or who is currently certified as POW or MIA.

Jesse Brown Memorial Youth Scholarship Program

Awards educational scholarships to individuals age 21 or younger that have volunteered for a minimum of 100 hours at a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical center during the previous calendar year.

Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation, Inc.

Provides financial assistance for scholarships and health care to children of Marines or federal law enforcement personnel who were killed on duty or died under extraordinary circumstances while serving our country at home or abroad.

Marine Corps Scholarship Fund

Provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships for higher education to sons and daughters of Marines and children of former Marines, with particular attention being given to children whose parent was killed or wounded in action.

SOAR (Student Online Achievement Resources)

Offers tools that can identify academic strengths and weaknesses in math and reading for students in grade 3 through high school. Students take an assessment aligned to state standards, and SOAR directs them to individualized tutorials to improve skills where needed. The program is designed for military families and the school districts that serve them and is easily accessible worldwide.

Scholarships for Military Children

Scholarships awarded at every commissary for payment of tuition, books, lab fees and other related expenses. Open to dependent unmarried children under age 21 (23 if enrolled as a full-time student) of active duty personnel, Reserve/National Guard and retired military members or survivors of deceased members.

Special Operations Warrior Foundation

Provides college scholarships for children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Special Operations personnel killed in an operational mission or training accident.

ThanksUSA Scholarship Program

All dependent children, age 24 and under, and all spouses of Active-Duty U.S. military Service Members are eligible to apply for scholarships with ThanksUSA.

That Others May Live Scholarships

Provides post-secondary educational scholarships to children whose U.S. Air Force member parents or guardians were lost in a personnel recovery mission, training or other personnel recovery collateral mission.

VA Survivors' & Dependents' Educational Assistance
