About Us

The Brain Injury Association of New Jersey is a non-profit organization that brings together people with brain injury, their families and friends, and concerned allied health professionals to improve the quality of life people experience after brain injury.

Our History

In 1981, a group of concerned parents of children who had sustained brain injury and several healthcare professionals treating these children founded the Association to assure that needed services and supports were available to New Jersey citizens with brain injury and their family members. Now more than 25 years later, the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey continues to be led by a Board of Trustees comprised of members of the brain injury community and civic leaders. From its inception, the Association has been the New Jersey affiliate of the Brain Injury Association of America.
