Statement of FCC Chairman William Kennard
On NCTA Diversity Committee

	I commend the National Cable Television Association for its leadership in convening a 
committee composed of high-level cable industry executives to review and promote diversity in 
the cable industry.

	It is important for everyone in the broadcasting and cable industries to make every effort 
to ensure that their workforce - both in front of and behind the camera - reflects the rich 
diversity of America.

	The nation as a whole benefits when media companies practice policies of inclusiveness. 
This NCTA Diversity Committee can play a significant role in pursuing these goals.
