The President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief
Reauthorized in 2008, the Emergency Plan’s new goals aim to support treatment for at least three million people living with HIV/AIDS, prevent 12 million infections, and support care for 12 million people infected with and affected by HIV, including five million orphans and vulnerable children. The Emergency Plan works in every region of the world, with a special emphasis on 15 countries in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean: Botswana, Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Guyana, Haiti, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam and Zambia.
