State workers' compensation: enactments in 1988

Little major legislation pertaining to State workers' compensation
programs was enacted in 1988; maximum weekly compensation levels, however, were increased
in 43 States, the District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands. This article provides a
summary of the 1988 legislative changes by State.
