Elwha Construction Contracts
 

Construction is underway on two major water quality protection projects.  Completion of these projects is the last major step before the two Elwha River dams can be removed and ecosystem restoration can begin.

 

Elwha Water Facilities
The contract for the Elwha Water Facilities (EWF) was awarded on December 12, 2007.

This project is composed of the: 

  • Elwha Surface Water Intake (ESWI);
  • Elwha Water Treatment Plant (EWTP);
  • construction access improvements; and
  • Area Flood Protection (AFP).

The contract for construction of the Port Angeles Water Treatment Plant was awarded on September 7, 2007.
