Low GHG-Emitting Vehicles
Section 141 of the 2007 Energy Independence and Security Act requires federal agencies to acquire low greenhouse gas (GHG) emitting vehicles. Low GHG-emitting vehicles are:
  • Any passenger car that achieves a GHG score of 7 or higher.
  • Any light-duty truck or medium-duty passenger vehicle that achieves a GHG score of 6 or higher.
Users can generate a current list of all available low GHG-emitting cars or trucks below. Users are encouraged to periodically check the list as new vehicle information is added as manufacturers certify additional vehicles.
