National Park of American Samoa
Plan Your Visit

Maps and brochures to plan for a visit to the park.
Visiting the park in American Samoa requires a good bit of advance planning.

Good road maps are not generally available either from rental car companies, AAA, or web sites.  Currently, the best map, Islands of Samoa, is available from the University of Hawaii Press.  (On e-mail search for University Press of Hawaii and look up that title there or at Amazon).

Getting there by Plane
The nearest airport is Pago Pago International Airport on Tutuila.  Air service is available a few times a week to and from Honolulu.  Scheduled flights (small planes) serve park areas at Ofu and Ta'u, and the nearby nation of Samoa.

Public Transportation
Rental cars and taxi service are available.  Local "Aiga" buses travel Tutuila from dawn to dusk.
