Prince William Forest Park is an oasis of natural beauty and human history located only 35 miles south of Washington, DC. 37 miles of hiking trails and 21 miles of bicycle-accessible roads and trails traverse this 15,000 acre piedmont forest. Beneath its canopy lies evidence of human history reaching back to 8,000 B.C.

Paws in the Park 2009!

Join Park Rangers and Bark Rangers for the 2009 Paws in the Park on April 25 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Pine Grove Picnic Area. Search and Rescue dogs, military and police dogs, agility and assistance dogs, informational vendors and obedience instructors will all be on hand for this celebration of responsible dog ownership in the great outdoors. So bring your four legged friend and please, as always, be prepared to keep your pets on a leash. Visit the Paws2009 page for updates and information as it becomes available.
