Traveling Trunks

Traveling Trunk Program

Traveling trunks, relative to the Lewis and Clark Expedition, are available for loan from the Fort Clatsop Historical Association c/o Fort Clatsop. These traveling trunks serve as mini-museums helping you bring history alive in your classroom. They can be set up as exhibits, used in conjunction with other units or used to kick-off, or conclude, your section on the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Each trunk contains a variety of "hands-on" objects, books, videos and a resource guide. If you are interested in using a trunk during the summer, for year round schools, please contact the park's education department for special arrangements. Rental fees are charged for the loan of the trunks. Please check the Reservation Instructions for shipping dates and cost for your location. Shipping dates that are no longer available are indicated below each trunk. As reservations fill up quickly, be sure to check the shipping dates for your location (don't waste time requesting dates that are not indicated).
