Minor damage to some buildings at Reno. A rockslide caused damage to a wooden flume on the Truckee River. Felt (VI) at Reno; (IV) at Incline Village, Sparks, Sun Valley and Washoe Valley; (III) at Carson City, Dayton, Fernley, Gardnerville, Glenbrook, Minden, Silver Springs, Virginia City and Wadsworth; (II) at Fallon. Also felt at Lovelock and Nixon. Felt (IV) at Alta, Colfax, Kings Beach, Loyalton and Penn Valley; (III) at Blairsden-Graeagle, Foresthill, Grass Valley, Magalia, Nevada City, Olympic Valley, Placerville, Pollock Pines, Portola, Quincy, Shingle Springs, South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe City, Tahoma and Truckee; (II) at Camino, Folsom, Janesville, Pioneer, Rocklin, Sacramento and Susanville, California. Felt widely in the Chester-Grass Valley-Sonora area.
