Western New Mexico University in coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service and, New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, is offering a Chiricahua Leopard Frog Survey Training on May 21-22, 2009. The training is two days with two field trips.

Note: This training is intended for individuals that will be performing leopard frog presence/absence surveys. The training only trains you to conduct presence/absence surveys; it does not permit you to conduct surveys under the ESA. Those intending to conduct Chiricahua Leopard frog surveys, an endangered species permit or subpermit are required. If you are not yet permitted, please visit our permit web site at http://www.fws.gov/permits/.

The Chiricahua Leopard Frog Survey Training is provided at NO cost.
