Hey Kids! Be a Junior Ranger!

Pick up a Junior Ranger book at any ranger program, the Mill, the Visitor Center in Van Buren or from your campground host. Then check out the fun activities, do what you can, and present your book to a ranger to get your handsome Junior Ranger badge!

It's free and it's fun!

JUNIOR RANGER DAY is April 25, 2009 at Round Spring. Join us for lots of fun activities, we'll have live snakes, live birds of prey (including a golden eagle!), cave tours, stream wades, nature songs and a variety of fun hands on activities. Did You Know?
Cane brakes are thick stands of rivercane, which is much like bamboo. The endangered Swainson's Warbler nests in these thickets. Many stands have been lost to reservoir impoundments throughout the South, but many stands are protected at Ozark National Scenic Riverways. More at www.nps.gov/ozar
