Facilities Engineering Branch

Welcome to the Facilities Engineering Branch. A part of the Facilities Division of AFM.

Mission

To provide nationwide engineering project management for major Federal facilities design and construction requirements. Facility requirements range in size from $500,000 to multi-million. This includes project budget and schedule forecasting, design criteria development, execution of facilities project planning, design, and construction from project inception to completion. Coordinate project implementation with Architect-Engineer firms, program officials, contracting function, and other Agency entities. Provide technical support and consultation to Headquarters and field organizational management and operating personnel in regard to accomplishing facility requirements. Provide policy formulation, implementation, and monitoring of execution. Assure that Federal facilities are brought up to satisfactory standards via the modernization program. Provide leadership and oversight for the energy program. Responsible for 5-year facilities plan.
