NATIONAL MISSING CHILDREN'S DAY EVENT
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Attorney General John Ashcroft will present the “Officer of the Year for Missing and Exploited Children” award and recognize the efforts of all the Missing and Exploited Children Law Enforcement awardees in recovering or assisting abducted and abused children on TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. EDT in the Great Hall at Main Justice.

EVENT BACKGROUND:
In addition to the Attorney General’s remarks, Assistant Attorney General Deborah J. Daniels, the National AMBER Alert Coordinator, will present information on the development of the national plan and implementation of the recently enacted AMBER legislation.
