Office of Federal Financial Management
Asset Management
Federal agencies own, lease, or manage billions of dollars of assets, including real property, personal property, and financial assets. Improving the management of these assets – such as comprehensive inventories, accurate assessments of asset value, and improved links between acquisition/disposal plans and agency mission – is important to ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and efficiently.
