Sign up for a Debit CardNow, in addition to receiving disbursements by check or direct deposit, Individual Indian Money (IIM) account holders may have their funds provided to them electronically through automatic transfers to a personal debit card account at Chase Bank, even if they do not have an account at any other financial institution. (If you do have an account at a financial institution already, you should consider direct deposit first.) Electronic transfer to a Chase debit card account is fast, convenient and safe. There is no risk of checks being misplaced, stolen, or lost in the mail. There is no cost to enroll for the service and the funds are immediately available to the account holder. You can use your Chase debit card to make payments or purchases wherever MasterCard® is accepted. By the end of January 2009, more than 1,500 Individual Indian Money (IIM) account holders had signed up for the Chase debit card.
