Keystone XL Pipeline TransCanada Keystone Pipeline, LP, proposes to construct and operate a new 36-inch buried crude oil pipeline from Hardisty, Alberta, Canada, to the Port Arthur and east Houston areas of Texas. The project is 1,704 miles long(approximately 329 miles in Canada and 1,375 miles in the United States). The pipeline will cross approximately 42 miles of BLM-administered public land in Montana. Mountain States Transmission Intertie (MSTI) Transmission Line NorthWestern Energy proposes to construct and operate a 500kV electric transmission line between southwestern Montana and southeastern Idaho. The project has an estimated length of 350-390 miles depending on the final location. Pathfinder/Bison Pipeline TransCanada Northern Border Inc. filed application to construct and operate two buried natural gas pipelines to Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota. The proposed Pathfinder pipeline is approximately 500 miles of 42-inch diameter pipe and 134 miles of 30-36 inch diameter pipe. The proposed Bison pipeline route is approximately 284 miles of 24-inch diameter pipeline that will parallel the Pathfinder pipeline route across Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota. |
