REL Midwest at Learning Point Associates provides expert advice to help educators and policymakers identify and apply scientifically valid research to their decision making. We do this by:
- Collecting and interpreting data to assess regional needs.
- Developing and delivering technical assistance tailored to local needs.
- Engaging in state policy outreach activities.
- Conducting events at which experts bring evidence to practitioners.
- Planning and implementing short-term applied research and development projects.
- Conducting long-term research studies.
This is the fifth consecutive federal contract Learning Point Associates has been awarded to operate the region's educational laboratory. Learning Point Associates is a nonprofit education consulting organization with 25 years of direct experience working with and for educators and policymakers to transform educational systems and student learning.
Meet REL Midwest
The REL Midwest team is composed of highly trained and experienced professionals employed by Learning Point Associates, a nonprofit education consulting organization dedicated to helping educators and policymakers make research-based decisions that produce sustained school improvement. To their work, staff members bring collective expertise that includes research and evaluation methods, quantitative research design, statistics, education policy, data use, accountability systems, leadership, English language learners, and teaching quality. Complementing our skills and efforts are partners and subcontractors representing major research institutions as well as small business concerns.
