The Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Mid-Atlantic is a research entity within the Institute of Education Sciences, in the U.S. Department of Education, responding to research needs expressed by education stakeholders in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. REL Mid-Atlantic conducts and shares high-quality research on topics important to the region, and works with practitioners and policymakers in applying the research to improve education.

The Regional Educational Lab Mid-Atlantic (REL Mid-Atlantic) is a true collaboration among five partners working together to meet the research needs of educational leaders and policy makers in our region. The Pennsylvania State University; Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey; ICF International; The Metiri Group; and ANALYTICA collaborate to provide the expertise and broad geographic base required to serve educators across the region.
