Lake County Nomination Forum for Geotourism Mapping Project to be held May 22nd. The end product of the North Coast Geotourism Project will be the production of a National Geographic Society branded map and a geotourism MapGuide website, with destinations nominated by community members.

Successful Vegetable Gardening for Beginners - A G.R.O.W. workshop by the UCCE Master Gardeners of Lake County, in collaboration with Lake County 4-H.

Press Release - Lake County continues to monitor for Swine-Orign H1N1 Influenza.

As part of CDPH's efforts to provide updated information to Californians on what they can do to protect themselves and their families from the swine flu outbreak, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has activated a toll-free H1N1 (swine flu) hotline (1-888-865-0564) in English and Spanish.  Assistance in other languages is also available. The hotline is available Monday through Friday, from 7am to 6pm, and on weekends from 8am to 4pm.

Lake County will celebrate National County Government Week May 4 - 8, 2009 with a Board of Supervisors proclamation on the May 5 agenda, Courthouse lobby displays, and a County Government Career Information Day on May 5 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Special emphasis this year will be on Lake County's "green government" efforts.
