Since 1987, NIOSH has awarded cooperative agreements to various state health departments to develop models for state-based and condition-specific surveillance and preventive intervention. Two of the conditions for which states have been funded through the SENSOR program are silicosis and work-related asthma.

Information on NIOSH funded state-based surveillance programs is available for currently funded states (map) and formerly funded states (map). For each map, click on a state to access information about each respective state-based surveillance program.
