U.S. Air Force Small Business

A Strong Community

As members of the Acquisition community, you know the value that small businesses bring to the Air Force mission. Small businesses offer agility, innovation and efficiency in ways no large business can match.

Our small business specialists are the key component in making sure the Air Force mission is accomplished through the strategic use of small businesses. Small business specialists play a vital role in the acquisition process because of their training and background, and as such, they will contribute to formulating acquisition strategies in an increased capacity. Without them on your team, you are missing an integral piece of your resource capability.

Throughout the Air Force Small Business community, you will meet professionals like Judith Croxton. The Mobile, Ala., native serves as the 20th Fighter Wing's Small Business Specialist and Competition Advocate. She has nearly 21 years of contracting experience, and she is passionate about her job.

“I look at small businesses as the building blocks for making our country great and for helping the Air Force meet its mission,” she said. “Small businesses are not only important to the Air Force, they are important to our nation.”
