U.S. Air Force Small Business

Manufacturing Technical Assistance Production Program

For more than a decade, the Air Force Office of Small Business Programs (SAF/SB) supported our small business manufacturing base through the MTAPP program. In total, MTAPP has provided technical and managerial assistance to over 115 small businesses. The AF Small Business MTAPP program has helped develop small business manufacturers which have provided integral support to the warfighter in the Global War on terrorism and recapitalized and modernized aging aircraft and equipment.

Resources provided to the AF for the Small Business AF MTAPP Program are no longer available. While the program is not being canceled, the AF MTAPP Program is not seeking new small business participants at this time.

The AF Small Business Office is currently working with the Department of Commerce (DOC) in establishing a Memorandum of Understanding to provide a program which will ensure the continued strength of our small business industrial base. Should additional resources become available in the future, the AF Small Business Office will consider utilizing the DOC's Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program to enhance small business growth, improvement in productivity, and expansion capacity.

SAF/SB wishes to thank all of our small business participants and program contributors for their efforts on behalf of MTAPP. We look forward to ongoing collaboration with all of you as you continue to provide integral support to the Warfighter and support our vision of small business as solutions of choice.
