You are invited to
attend and participate in the 2005 USGS Chesapeake Bay Science Workshop
which will be held at the Patuxent National Wildlife Visitor Center near
Laurel, Maryland.
The objectives of
the workshop include:
Present preliminary synthesis of USGS Chesapeake Bay findings;
Present future science directions for USGS Chesapeake Bay Studies;
Interact with partners on policy implications of the USGS findings
and identify the best opportunities to conduct joint studies to meet future
science directions.
On May 12, the workshop will consist of a series of invited talks summarizing USGS findings, posters sessions, and a panel discussion of the policy implications of the presentations. On May 13, both partners and USGS scientists will participate in sessions on the future USGS science goals and developing partnerships to meet the goals. A preliminary agenda is available.
Registration must be completed by May 5 and and please consider presenting a poster during the workshop. There are several hotels in the area for those needing overnight accommodations. Visit the Directions and Hotel information page for information on the Laurel area.
