Description: Campground Host Location: Cadotte Campground Needed: 1 host

A position is available for a campground host (an individual or couple) at Cadotte Campground on the Superior National Forest. The campground is located 21 miles southeast Hoyt Lakes, MN and 65 miles north of Duluth, MN and is situated on Cadotte Lake, which provides a great Northern pike, panfish, and walleye fishery. This smaller campground contains 27 units on 2 loops. Other facilities include a picnic area, a sandy swimming beach, a boat launch, a fishing deck, vault toilets, and water spigots throughout the campground.

Duties: • Assist campers with fee payment procedures, answer questions, and provide them with information about the campground and area. • Complete light maintenance such as picking up litter, raking, cleaning out fire rings, cleaning vault toilets, clean bulletin board, inspecting wells, repair minor maintenance items. • Make observations of violations that should be reported to the proper Forest Service contact. • Maintain camper record information Requirements: • A host must be physically able and willing to do light maintenance. • The preferred tour of duty for a host is the entire recreation season (Fishing opener-Labor Day); however shorter time periods may be considered. The campground host should be at the campground at least five days a week. It is desirable that hosts be on site Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays during the camping season. The dates for 2009 are May 6- September 8. You are welcome to arrive a few days early and stay longer if you desire. • The host must be willing to serve a government witness for violations observed.

Description: Campground Host Location: Pfieffer Campground Needed: 1 host

A position is available for a campground host (an individual or couple) at Pfieffer Campground on the Superior National Forest. The campground is located 25 miles north of Virginia, MN and is situated on Pfieffer Lake, which provides a great panfish, bass and perch fishery with walleye being stocked. This small campground contains 16 units and facilities include a picnic area, a sandy swimming beach, a boat launch, a fishing deck, an interpretive hiking trail, vault toilets, and a centrally located water spigot. The host site will be located in one of the existing camp sites. Food, gasoline, telephone and bait services are provided 7 miles north of the campground. The position is needed between May 1 and September 30, 2009.

Description: Summer Camp Host: Live on site in exchange for working 24 hours per week per person. We have primitive tent, water & electric, 30 AMP full hook-up, and 50 full hook-up sites to accommodate all sizes of camping units. We have two different types of positions available: Office Staff and Campground Maintenance. Please let us know which one you are interested in. We prefer couples (each working 24 hours per week) one in the office and one on maintenance. We are looking for adults 21 and older, who are able to do physical work, provide their own food and comfortable work clothes/shoes. We will provide equipment required for the job. Office Staff duties includes customer service, reservations, computer work, store maintenance/inventory, assist with special events/programs, cleaning, and perform other related duties as assigned. Campground Maintenance duties includes landscaping, custodial duties (cleaning bathhouses/office/grounds/meeting rooms/pool), general carpentry/electrical/plumbing work, escorting campers to sites, assist with special events/programs, perform other related duties as assigned. Description: Kenai National Wildlife Refuge seeks host couple for Hidden Lake Campground, near Soldotna, 5/13/08 to 9/1/08. Hosts need their own trailer/camper. Hosts maintain 43-site campground, five days per week. Days off: Tues./Weds. Host couple receives $50 per day, free campsite, propane reimbursement, weekly mileage stipend, and gift card for gas at end of season. No hookups. Campground has dump station and potable water. Attractions - scenery, wildlife, hiking, boating, and fishing.
