Sensors at channel station 1.

NOTE: Data collection at the Gap File has been discontinued.

Data from the rain, stage, and pore pressure gages are collected every 2 seconds during rain events and every 2 minutes otherwise. Soil moisture is collected every 2 minutes. Data are transmitted by cell phone modem from the site to a USGS computer every 4 minutes. After transmission, the data are graphed and placed on web server available to the public. Snapshots from the video camera are transmitted every day at noon and approximately every 8 minutes during rain events. Digital video is collected manually from the site due to the large file sizes.
