Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park
Places

Come and marvel at the ingenuity of Hawaiian fishpond architecture.  The park features two different types of fishponds, as well as a fish trap.  These features reveal how Hawaiians managed and harvested the bounty of the sea.  Further stories are told in the ki'i pohaku, mysterious stone carvings, found throughout the park.  These petroglyphs depict scenes from a time long ago and forever record the events that shaped this land.
