NMFS Reallocates Pollock from the Incidental Catch Account to the Directed Fisheries for Pollock in the Bering Sea Subarea The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is reallocating the projected unused amount (12,000 metric tons) of Bering Sea subarea pollock from the incidental catch account to the directed fisheries according to James W. Balsiger, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS.
This action is taken pursuant to 50 CFR 679.20(a)(5)(i)(C) and the American Fisheries Act (Public Law 105-277, Division C, Title II). This information bulletin only provides notice of a regulatory change.
