The Thurgood Marshall, Sr. commemoration website, administered by the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), features instructive and innovative information on Marshall’s life and legacy. This offering will serve as the premier location of biographical information on Thurgood Marshall Sr.

Created as our nation marks a century of Marshall’s extraordinary contribution to American society from July 2, 1908 to July 2, 2008, this vehicle recognizes the late jurist who was the first African-American to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States. Justice Marshall was most notably known as a strong advocate of affirmative action and victor in the Brown v. Board of Education Topeka landmark court case.

The commemoration website consists of the following components: a timeline of his life, photos, videos, speeches, interviews, tributes from judges, lawyers, community leaders, executives and celebrities and his educational experiences at Lincoln University and Howard University School of Law.

Targeted to students and researchers of all ages interested in learning about Thurgood Marshall’s role in shaping change in America, this site will also serve as a resource of information for the law community including students who study law.
