Dr. Chuck Kutscher of the Center for Electricity, Resources, and Building Systems Integration led an American Solar Energy Society study that resulted in the report “Tackling Climate Change in the U.S.” He writes a regular column in Solar Today magazine about climate change and last fall taught “Climate Change Solutions” at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In this presentation Dr. Kutscher will summarize the latest scientific findings on climate change and describe the potential for energy efficiency and renewable energy to achieve large carbon reductions in the U.S. and Colorado.

This year's Technical Program will encompass nine programmatic areas covering topics from novel materials and devices, thin-film cells made from CIGS and CdTe and emerging semiconductors, crystalline and amorphous silicon, III-V cells, concentrator devices and systems, and module and system experience including reliability studies. The deadline for electronic submission of the full manuscript is May 26, 2009.
