Description: Local Public Radio Station KACU will broadcast live from the Hendrick Health System's Vera West Women's Center during National Women's Health Awareness week. Interviews with Radiologists, nurses, and technicians will spotlight digital mammagraphy, bone density scans, breast cancer awareness, heart health, colon cancer, smoking cessation, pre and postnatal care, healthy eating and excercise, and family wellness. The Vera West Women's Center provides the foundation of the Hendrick Women's Health Network. It shares its name with Vera West, a longtime Abilene nurse who spent as much time caring for women and children in their homes as she did in hospitals.
