Foreign-born workers by regionOn a regional basis, the foreign-born share of the labor force ranged widely in 2005, from about a quarter in the West to 7 percent in the Midwest. In the Northeast and South, the foreign-born share represented 17 and 13 percent of the labor force, respectively. These data are from the Current Population Survey.
