The Producer Price Index (PPI) program measures the average change over time in the selling prices received by domestic producers for their output. The prices included in the PPI are from the first commercial transaction for many products and some services.
January 2013 PPI data are scheduled to be released on February 20, 2013, at 8:30 A.M. Eastern Time.

The Producer Price Index for finished goods declined 0.2 percent in December. Prices for
finished goods fell 0.8 percent in November and 0.2 percent in October. Prices for finished
goods less foods and energy advanced 0.1 percent in December.
